Amici 30A Italian kitchen with stephen and Laura. Really easy to drink — 3 years ago
Purchased at the winery, a favorite on a recent visit to the RRV. Spells like fresh plum and blackcherry, with a sweetness to the fruit. Sage, dried herbs, and baking spices too. On the palate, red fruit shines - cranberry and bing cherries. There’s a crunchy minerality that leads to a bright finish. Don’t get me wrong, this is new world Pinot, but shows restraint and balance. — 5 years ago
@Delectable Wine - This is the Krutz Beckstoffer Melrose Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc from the Napa Valley.
This is 1970s old school barrel-fermented SB. Lots of toast and butter out-competing lively SB tropical fruit and herbal scents. Rich and balanced in the mouth. The way to enjoy this wine is to have no expectations that it will be showcasing any varietal character, and if you can get to that frame of mind it’s a real throwback, and pretty enjoyable in a nostalgic way. — a year ago
