Lighter in color for a 2019, more of a medium ruby. Nose is cherry pie, not tart cherries but sweet black cherry. A bit of dust and a lot of cedar chest. Great structure, smooth tannins, and medium to full-bodied. The lighter color fooled me into thinking this would be a lighter cab, but it packs plenty of punch. The finish lingers especially pumping those cedar notes throughout. — 5 years ago

This was all part of our Sake Day 2025 experience. We only tasted 60ish sakes out of an estimated 450, so a small fraction of what was available. While I attempted to rinse the glass with water and stay hydrated it’s difficult to fairly rate in this environment and I use it solely as a time to try a wide variety and interact with the brands. 1st wine of 2021....had to pop something fun....jumped in the pond with the frog tonight!!

1.5 hour decant(little cloudy sediment). An alluring purplish magenta color. On the nose: expressive nose of dark cherry, campfire smoke, little Cayuse funk (luv it), vanilla toast, meaty, plum, floral. Taste: Wow! elegant, rich, juicy wine with mouth coating dark plum, bacon fat, soil, iron, and a smokey minerally cherry long finish. YUM, great start to the new year. — 6 years ago

Fabulous Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. A ruby red/purple, it has both the dark red and black fruits. The tannins are smooth, with the acid well balanced....a smooth finish. Count me as a fan. — 7 years ago
