Fog Dance Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017

9.4

Ruby coloration with some opacity around the rim. On the nose, cherry, espresso, tropical fruit, caramel and vanilla. On the palate, complex, rich and medium-full bodied, cherry, cola, forest floor/musty, citrus perhaps blood orange, light tobacco, vanilla, caramel and salinity. Long finish with blood orange, vanilla and salinity. — 3 hours ago

Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2018

Meilleur que la bouteille ouverte il y a quelques semaines... pinot sans trop de complexité qui joue plus dans la puissance que dans la finesse. Le vin avait un peu de longueur contrairement à l’autre qui coupait extrêmement court. — 14 days ago

Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2009

Pasta pomodoro with spices and black fruit. Smoke and grilled meat. Finish lingers. Tannin still holds court. Can’t beat. — 25 days ago

Sivi Pinot 2019

Slovenian orange-y pinot grigio(sivi pinot).

last of slovenian threesome.

72hr macerated on skin.
aged on lees with some oak used.

medium + body (skin influence I'm told).
high bursting acidity.

melon, peach, blossom, grapefruit and a hint
nutiness.

balanced and lovely with extra mojo.

ok vfm (80 nis)

works well with evening's dish washing after a hard day locked down with the kids while my wife is not here getting ready for court appearance in a few days.

no food pairing as I was tasting the leftovers all day long.

My house Chardonnay for summertime. A bit different this summer.

Hartford Court Muldune Trail Pinot Noir 2014

The red wine of our visit to Sonoma from the comfort of home in Santa Barbara. Spicy aromatics for a Sonoma pinot. Clear ruby color. Mostly raspberry aroma with clove and nutmeg. Moderate tannins and finish of spicy compote. Not quite jammy but more fruit than terroir. Does it show place? The flavor palate seems confused or lost. The flavors suggest a central coast pinot, was it lost in translation? Or just failed geography? Not to worry, the wine is solid and enjoyable. Maybe its the drinker who is confused? I like it. — a month ago

Delicious Pinot. Great example of the depth of the Hartford single vineyards. Blueberry preserve, Cassis, red raspberry, cocoa, black tea, oak, tannin. — 2 months ago
