Barossa Valley Old Vine Grenache 2015

A really great Grenache from Barossa, more full bodied than you would expect but plenty of spice, jam and fruit flavour. High alcohol but doesn’t overpower the wine. Enjoying the wines from this producer. — 2 days ago

JMK VP Shiraz 2015

Deep, smooth, lingering deliciousness. What an awesome fortified.
It would make an epic Sparkling base.

Greenock Single Vineyard Shiraz 2014

Really great Shiraz, punches well above its weight, ticks all the boxes and more. Short review; too busy enjoying it. — 15 days ago

Johann Georg Shiraz 2004

2004 Vintage. 15.5% Alcohol. Basket pressed from a vineyard planted in 1875. This was a bottle that we took home from our Australia trip many years ago when we had the pleasure of a vineyard tour and tasting with winemaker Troy Kalleske. Johann Georg is their flagship wine and was very young as we tried to coax it out from its sleep in a large Magnum decanter. As it gained air and came to room temperature it unfolded big fruit and long finish. No rush to open these and I’ll keep our other bottles in slumber for another 5 years. These grapes were used in the Penfolds Grange bottling until Troy started making his own wine. Good on ya mate! — 9 months ago
