Fabulous. Smooth. Sangiovese in Indianapolis. Jonathan 60th — 3 years ago
Drank the 2018 in November 2021 with sushi. Excellent apple and the touch of minerality that pared well with the seafood — 5 years ago
Winery is in CT. Grapes are from (and vinified) in CA. Dark cherry and vanilla on the nose and pallet. Silky and luxurious. Fruity but not sweet. Well balanced. 15.2% Alcohol. Pleasant surprise. — 7 years ago

The 2015 Pezat Red, Jonathan Maltus's entry-level red, is flat-out delicious. Sweet red cherry and plum fruit are front and center in this racy, open-knit wine. There is much to like, including the wine's very accessible price. I would prefer to drink this succulent Saint-Émilion over the next few years, while the fruit retains its youthful vibrancy. Dark purple color. Aromas and flavors of red plum, ripe red berries, dark chocolate, leather and freshly turned earth. Hint of dill, vanilla and smoke on the long and oaky finish. Big tannic grip but with good balance. Quite bold, rustic and burly. — 3 years ago
여지것 마신 와인 중 높은 바디감과 중간 정도 탄닌감으로 묵직한 느낌이 듦. 두잔이상에서도 유지. 재구매의사 높음 — 4 years ago
2016 vintage. Selected by Jonathan Maltus (Le Dôme, Teyssier and other Saint-Emilions + World's End in Napa Valley), this is a Merlot-driven Bordeaux Supérieur, in a lightly oaked blend with Cabernet Franc. Red cherries and strawberry jam with just a hint of oak. Juicy and ripe sweet red fruit, soft tannin and good length. Nice value at 11 euro. Has an old-world-meets-new-world feel about it. Who said Bordeaux isn't sexy? Abv. 13%. Well done again Mr. Maltus! — 6 years ago
2009 vintage. Mainly Cabernet Sauvignon with a little bit of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Serious juice from serious vineyards in Napa Valley (the lower slopes of Coombsville, Sugarloaf Mountain and Circle S, the latter one of the highest parts in the Napa Valley). Cassis, cedarwood, licorice and lead pencil, reminiscent of Pauillac. Concentrated, ripe black fruit, but not jammy. Powerful tannic structure and good acidity. Long finish with licorice and a distinctive minerality. Maltus obviously doesn't go for the easy commercial jammy style. Incredible Napa Valley value at 30 euro! Perfectly integrated 14,8% abv. — 8 years ago

Lemon, floral, mineral, slightly honeyed, lovely texture and cleansing acidity, this should continue to age gracefully for 2-3 years, my favorite domestic Viognier, kudos to Jonathan! — 8 months ago
