Gastronomic style. Pleasant appreciation of aging with toasted, spices. Almost oily mouth texture, ample style. Lacks a little freshness to hang the tasting.
Bouteille au style gastronomique. Agréable appréciation de l’élevage au style toasté, épices. Texture en bouche presque grasse, style ample. Manque un peu de fraîcheur pour accrocher la dégustation. — 9 days ago
Gorgeous, wafting nose. A why we drink Pinot type of nose. Stunning, deep red and black cherries. Hit of rocky minerals and some wet earth frame the cherries. Such a clean and elegant nose. Such clean and clear minerality. 17 is so classic. Palate is supple, lean and spicey with slate like tannins initially and sweet cherry fruit on the finish that stays with you. Lovely persistence. Terrific sour cherry as well that sweetens up as it finishes. Really terrific freshness and lift. Needs maybe 45 minutes for the fruit to really express itself. Compact and quite structured with really great energy. — 16 days ago
2019 Disgorgement is in the zone with its ultra complex aromatic profile and chiseled palate with riveting energy and a seamlessly balanced expression of layered red berry fruit and chalky minerality. VO base with a touch of still Pinot from Francis Egly. Always a treat ❤️ — 9 days ago
Exuberant and ebullient ripe late season cherries on the nose. Smells like 15. Also lovey earth and mineral character. Palate is super ripe and rich with layers of sweet red cherry fruit and wonderful freshness. Girard nailed 15. Concentrated and deep. It doesn’t quite have the focus of 14:17:19 but it’s one of the better 15’s I’ve had. Long finish. Very fleshy . — 2 days ago
