Polished domestic Merlot. Very savory on the nose. Almost classic Bordeaux in style , green olive and olive tapenade. Oregano and thyme with just a hint of oak hut not overly in your face. Beautiful inky hue. Lots of great tannin and acidity on the backbone of this wine. Plenty of room to keep aging. Blackberries and blueberries upfront. Fantastic finish that lingers without feeling big heat. Very well balanced at 14.5% — 3 years ago
A fine wine with lots of fruit and mineral aspects. Can still age a bit — 5 years ago
Fruity aroma, subtle tongue taste and dry, slightly acidic finish — 6 years ago
Smooth and easy, not oaky paired with Chicken Cordon Bleu Quesadillas — 8 years ago
I’m a sucker for Merlot... this one doesn’t disappoint at all. The Grand Reserve is clearly worth the few extra bucks more — 8 years ago
Quite nice with chicken stir fry. Good fruit and clean finish. — 11 days ago
I truly enjoyed this Chardonnay. Crisp with nice oak. — 3 months ago
Just a grocery store wine but I really enjoy the refreshing taste of it, especially with grilled oysters! My friend spent a few days with me who I met in the Navy while in Japan back in the 80’s. Of course friends always cook good food and drink delicious wine while together! — 5 months ago

Consumed 06/2020. Received this in one of my shipments and aged it for a few years. Flavor profile is deep black cherry, Cassis and red current flavors. — 6 years ago
The purest a Vidal can get. Primary aromas of apricot, but the age allowed for some nice caramel complexities to show up. Rich on the palate with strong honey tones and a touch of citrus hiding in the back. Really lingers too, and paired well with a salted caramel cheesecake. — 7 years ago

Close to the edge of life on this 2018 but still delivers black tea and a bit of spice. Some bright cherry mid palate with wet stone and dusty earth. Still has a nice finish. Very drinkable and just what you'd expect from an aged Santa Lucia Pinot. — a month ago
Very light in color with a meaty strawberry licorice nose. Just lovely sweet tannins and plushness on palate but with enough acidity to keep it light on its feet. Surprising medium finish. 🔥for the money. — 4 years ago
Love it! Went great with homemade pizza (especially the tomato sauce)! — 8 years ago

I can’t believe I stopped buying this. Most underrated and best value CA Chard out there. You need to try this! Rich, complex, and just fits my palate. — 9 days ago
