Served blind. I nailed the vintage, even a broken clock is right twice a day. A spectacular nose of smoke, flowers and a dose of reduction. In the mouth, intensity and freshness . Minerals & green fruit that reminded me of Chablis to start but no way given the weightlessness. Waves of crisp fruit with exceptional balance. Most producers would be happy to make a premiere cru or grand cru of this quality. It might be an overused descriptor or cliché, but this was all about pureness. According to my friend purchased on release, and locked away. A reminder of how important proper storage is. — 3 months ago
Started off a bit rough, with quite a bit of CO2, but blossomed into a beautiful, pure wine in an hour or so, and held up over three nights. The ‘incorrect’ in this case is the blend of Gamay and Chardonnay. Made by Maylis Bernard, partner of J.F. Ganevat. — 2 years ago
Oy vey. Intense nose with limestone, sweet white floral notes, citrus. Super rich and poised with a thrilling yet subtle acidity. A gorgeous mouthfeel. Ripe but bright and fragrant. Just fantastic stuff. I’m sure this has a way aged but it is popping right now. — 6 months ago
Beautiful wine. — 2 years ago
What an incredible nose. Lifted limestone and lime with pear and a salinity. The slightly oily texture of CC but sophisticated and powerful and lifted. Still a baby but really delicious now. A monster, but a beautiful silky monster. Wow — 6 months ago
