#AgedWineTuesday
Deep ruby in color with a short reddish/ brick rim. Not showing much age.
Beautiful nose of indian spices, cedar, vanilla, chocolates and herbs.
Full bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate and very fruity with blackberries, black currants, cooked plums, cedar, tobacco leaf, light earth, vanilla, licorice, eucalyptus, herbs, chocolates and black pepper.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 20 year old Cabernet Sauvignon is just gorgeous now. Fruit forward and rich. Extracted and interesting. Loved the nose here.
I did not decant it, and left it to open up in the bottle. Good right out of the bottle, and better after an hour of airtime.

Probably peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Gorgeous stuff. I just love these Napa Bordeaux blends.
Good by itself as a sipping wine to share with good friends. Will pair nicely with a big piece of steak too.
A blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Merlot. Aged in all new French oak barrels for 22 months.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

2015 - at Prime and Providence with steak - decanted - full body and ver smooth — 2 months ago
Best merlot I’ve had in a long while. Plum, cherry blackberry. Oh so good — 4 years ago
This 2012 RC has Black cherry, blueberry, plum tobacco and leather. Flavors on the palette are similar. Still holding on to some tannins. Paired with a grilled bone in NY strip. 95% Syrah 5% Petite Syrah — 2 months ago
Something different and unexpected - equal parts Marsanne and Roussanne, with 28% Viognier. Lightly colored cream shaded pearls with delicate oak laced aromas and a surprisingly full body.
More floral than fruity - Peach, lychee, and white flowers. A restrained elegance that doesn't quite equal up to the sum of its parts. — 5 months ago
Nearing its peak but my god what a supple, leathery beauty — a year ago

Lovely nose of black currant, dark berries, lavender earth, leather, and wood - the palate seems balanced but lacks density which is a detractor for me. This improved with a 2 hour decant — a month ago
