Not as aromatically intense as the inferno, however an exceptional palate presence. Great wine. Similar profile of tar, roses, dried and fresh strawberry, some cranberry. Great length. — 9 months ago

Inferno Valtellina Superiore Nebbiolo

Light, rust colored; some bright fruit, light tannins, and pure cherry fruit. Quite quaffable! Went well with orecchiette, sausage and rapa. I do love Valtellina neb. North meets South with this dinner. — 3 months ago

Inferno Fiamme Antiche Riserva 2017

Nose is so sexy. Sexy cherries and roses. Pink and red roses hand crushed and jammed in your face. As it opens more dusty roses

Palate is sexy cherries. Pink rose internal aromatics. So juicy. A bit bitter. So good.

Inferno Riserva Valtellina Superiore Nebbiolo

Loved the wine — strawberry, dried strawberries, a bit of herbs (mint?). Not too tannic but dry. — 4 months ago

Magnum format, was saving to drink with a good friend who lived around lake Como and introduced me to inferno docg. Look, this was a 9.1 nose, 8.8 palate to be honest. Had nice dried rose petal and light tar, strawberry aroma which intensified after an hour or so, and was delicate and refined; palate never caught up; light bodied with short finish; some shitaki mushroom and just fallen leaves; not much complexity on the palate. Rating inflated as we enjoyed it together with parmigianno, Comte, pecorino. Who cares, memories are a huge part of why I enjoy certain wines. — a year ago
