SMWS "Inferno Toffee Pudding" 12 Year Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Whoa! I’m liking this one. Power right off the bat. Enough make me go whoa I wasn’t expecting that. Rich toffee flavor profile so the name is what you get. It’s rich in flavor, some heat for sure and a full mouth grab you by the collar on the palate. I’m going to have to look for this but am afraid I’m too late. Finish goes for minutes. — 14 hours ago

Let this sit for a while and there is a definite milk chocolate on the remaining drips. Missed out on this one.

Inferno Rosso Vermouth di Torino Superiore

Made half of a red grape (Dolcetto) and half white (Cortese) but looks red. It is so rich and spicy. Honestly, it sings in a Negroni or twist of such. It is rich. It’s a mincemeat pie in a flaky butter crust. On the rocks with an orange twist gives arias. I also super dug it with a bit of bubbly (I had a frizzante on hand) and a touch of ice. — 7 months ago

9.0

Magnum format, was saving to drink with a good friend who lived around lake Como and introduced me to inferno docg. Look, this was a 9.1 nose, 8.8 palate to be honest. Had nice dried rose petal and light tar, strawberry aroma which intensified after an hour or so, and was delicate and refined; palate never caught up; light bodied with short finish; some shitaki mushroom and just fallen leaves; not much complexity on the palate. Rating inflated as we enjoyed it together with parmigianno, Comte, pecorino. Who cares, memories are a huge part of why I enjoy certain wines. — 6 months ago

Inferno Fiamme Antiche Riserva 2017

Nose is so sexy. Sexy cherries and roses. Pink and red roses hand crushed and jammed in your face. As it opens more dusty roses

Palate is sexy cherries. Pink rose internal aromatics. So juicy. A bit bitter. So good.

Enfer D'Arvier Petit Rouge 2019

When in limbo, take a trip to the inferno (or Danilo Thomain’s enfer d’arvier). If this is hell, then I think I’ll settle in for a toasty spell. Crunchy pomegranate, cranberry, blackberry, raspberry (so much bramble!) and dried alpine herbs on the nose and palate. Dark stones. Volcanic spice. Vivacious, hypnotic. — 3 years ago
