This wine is inky dark indigo in the glass - no light gets through. The nose is full of blackberry and cassis aromas and savory notes of leather, tobacco, cedar and a whiff of smoke. The palate is juicy and fruity with an amazing acidity to go along with some rather firm tannins. The savory notes stay on the finish the longest. This will be a great wine to have with a brisket. — 10 months ago
Some heavy hitting on Monday night with Domaine Brin’s “Vendemia”. Mostly Duras with some Fer servadou and Merlot blended in. From SW France, this is a bit unyielding similar to the neighboring wines in Cahors. Dark & loaded with cracked pepper notes, this needs to open up a bit, but the future will be delicious. The record from Circuit Des Yeux, titled- Finding Indigo had a similar effect. It demands your undivided attention to hear the haunting interplay between the soaring vocals and meticulously nuanced arrangements.

Im beginning to explore Burgundy. Medium indigo color. Bright red fruit on the nose. Smooth and light-med bodied. Cherry and strawberry, raspberry. Seems med-light tannic and acidic. Light minerality and earthiness. Pleasant and easy drinking. While in the glass I began to appreciate it more and more. Smooth and delicate. — a month ago
