Significantly better than 8+ months ago. Not as tightly knit and closed as the ‘13. Still, you really can’t pop and pour this. Sweet graham cracker, blackberries and cranberries on the nose. Full bodied. The blend works in this favor as it rounds out the finish for a lush feel. Cedar, cassis, and plum on the palate. RParker 94 I believe. Pretty solid value at $70.

Jan 14th, 2018Thanks for this one @Shay A ! --- MAN! This one is really starting to fire on all cylinders, and it's a 2014 so I'm really not even sure it's showing everything it has. This one tonight blew right past the "Coravin a 1/2 glass and open the rest later." After a small Coravin sample, the cork was promptly popped. The nose is blackberry, graham cracker, new leather, and spice cake. The entry is hedonistic blackberry cassis, very youthful chalky fruit. Leathery, meaty middle with a hint of that youthful sweetness. Finish is sweeter tannin, toasted, primarily a black pepper spice.
