Colore intenso e lucente porpora vivace. Profumo complesso! Frutta matura, Tamarindo e cola. terra sottobosco. Confetture. TARTUFO. FUNGHI. resine o corteccia leggera.  c’è una nota dolce forse una Spezia tipo cannella. il gusto è pieno di corpo. Tratti che ricordano la Croatina del campo del Monte. un pre finale velocissimo leggermente abboccato e poi amaro subito dopo.  L’alcol veicola profumi sensazioni e corpo. È perfettamente integrato nonostante i 15°. Una bella scorrevolezza. La parte migliore è certamente il bouquet olfattivo.  — 4 years ago

Interesting and tasty red from Pulgia, not sure where obtained. Dark Ruby. Forest, mushroom and ripe dark fruits, keep one sniffing. minerals and acids in balance with almost velvety coating on palate. Long lingering finish. Wonder how it tastes when young. Found previous notes, AA18 red blend Predominantly Nero di Troia with Montepulciano per wine searcher. Last bottle. — 3 years ago
My first experience with a Friulian Pignolo...Wow..what a simply perfect pasta/pizza wine. Nice bright berry red color... medium weight on the palate...smoke, BlackBerry fruit, sweet red fruit and brilliant lively acidity...perfect foil to red tomato sauce and sausage pizza. Only problem being that the balance, refreshment quotient, and cravability mean a single 750 is not enough. Lost the battle w/wife for last swallow!
