Nubiola Barbaresco Nebbiolo

2015 magnum, a touch reduced w some va. Have to let open for a while. Cherry and rasp w leather, earth, potting soil, mulch, and some mushroom.

E molto buono. Nel vino club allufficio, abbiamo trovato dolcetto, barbera, nebbiolo, barolo e barbaresco. Tra loro, questo barbaresco era il piu buono. Profondo con tanicita comfotabile. Solo e troppo caro per bere frequetamente.

It needed a good four hours of decanting, but this magnum was perfect on Thanksgiving.

In the beginning very closed and dry after a couple of hours in the decanter the dryness disappeared and the wine opened up.

Deliciously well balanced, great combination of fruit and tannins. An excellent food wine. Wish I had more bottles!

Nose is leather and cherry. Taste of tobacco, dark cherries, pepper spice, earthiness and heavy tannins on the tongue. Very dry finish.

Magical

This wine had decent flavor but lacked much character or wow factor. Jean felt it was too tart.
