Surprise. Eculyptus nose. Good old vine but cannot decant too long as it wil break down — 5 years ago
Beautifully aromatic with subtle red fruit, a pinch of cloves, crunchy, fresh cherry. Fresh, juicy, highly enticing.
Light to medium bodied on the palate with juicy fruit, tart yet ripe tannins and brilliant flow. This has depth, purity and quite some punch. Remarkable with this lightness.
A beautiful wine - quite serious and yet so drinkable. — 10 months ago
Would absolutely buy this again. A medium ruby red with a pronounced nose of cherry, raspberry, wild red fruit and obvious French oak, some vanilla and licorice.
It’s dry with high acid and alcohol. It’s body and fruit intensity is medium to plus that follows the nose but with sour cherry and red currant notes which with the acid and alcohol make it very fresh. There’s some rounded tannins with a little grip at the end. The finish is medium.
A very good wine! — 3 years ago

Nice alpine amaro! — 10 months ago
Nose presents baking spices and a touch of soft brown sugar. Palate is dense and layered, as usual for this producer (before the winery changed hands the first time around). Notes of coffee, tobacco and maple syrup come through on the mid palate. Nice tannin/acidity combination complete what is a classic BV presentation. Drink these within the 24 months. This winery has been on the slide ever since Ed Snyder and team departed. I tasted some of the 18’s and 19’s and they were a mere shadow of the previous product.
