The 2020 Crianza is a 100% Tempranillo from Pesquera del Duero. Aged for 14 months in American oak barrels, it's garnet-red with a purple sheen. The nose offers strawberry, herb, undergrowth and oak aromas. Dry and taut on the palate with finely-grained tannins and a compact profile, this is a flavorful example of a Ribera red. La Gitana Manzanilla Sherry
Pale light gold in colour. Aromas of Flor yeast, nutty, oxidative. Aspects of over ripe mouldy apple. Refreshing and salty, finishing bone dry. Trying to understand Manzanilla and Sherry in general. This is a fino Sherry made from the Palomino grape. The more I sipped this the more I liked it. 15%ABV. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think Manzanilla is best drunk when young and fresh. Incredible value at only $25 AUD for a half bottle. — 6 months ago
And yes, most Manzanillas are best drunk soon after bottling and after opening. Preferably the same day. 😁 Manzanilla has a thicker flor growth (than Fino) therefore it has more protection from O2. QED, keep it away from O2, and the safest place from oxygen is in your stomach. 😀

The 2020 Crianza is 100% Tempranillo from Pedrosa del Duero in Ribera del Duero. Garnet-red with a purple sheen. The nose presents blackcurrant and sour cherry notes along with wild herbs and hints of blood. Dry and juicy, the well-calibrated tannins are neither overly extractive nor too rigid, establishing an energetic, fluid palate with a gentle, long-lasting, lactic mouthfeel.
