Just concluded our annual Fall seclusion into the Rangeley lakes region of Maine, mobile service up there is mostly non-existent, after several days I am posting again.
Nose of cold smoke, very herbal, maybe celery seed? Palate is very mineral, saline extreme.

A shockingly clean and dry Riesling with subtle skittles-like aroma. Significantly more enjoyable on day 2 (a decanter not available to me). I am far from an expert on this stuff but I would imagine some more years under the belt might help this yield more? Acid for days but not aggressive. Just tightly wound. A fascinating encounter. — 5 years ago
The „Cat-hole Riesling“. I am a fan of Leitz. His prices for GG‘s are great. Herbaceous and tight needs time. Tart, sour apricot, lime. elderberry flowers focused and precise a classic Rheingau. A world class wine for a very reasonable price. And yes exotic that is just the way the Riesling grape is - I have a vine in my front yard. @ the Meritage in Encinitas. — 6 years ago

Vintage 2017 / Man, I am so proud this wine is Dutch. I retasted Apostelhoeve next to Bordeaux blanc and Alsace. And it still stands. Light-footed but with a great backbone. Blend of several grapes. #apostelhoeve — 6 years ago

This juicy Grüner Veltliner has crisp acidity ands great depth of flavor with lemon, green apple, pear, yellow plum, fennel, white pepper, stone, hay, honeysuckle and a long finish. Medium body asks wonderful with grilled shrimp and an escargot pot pie (seriously good). Great value — 7 days ago
