Very nice actually light CS. “Right Bank” style with only only Merlot Dandrades Cab Franc. — 2 days ago
Always one of my favs from Jones. Sunday funday, Pats and Bucs later 🏈 — 15 days ago
This wine is still showing pretty well but is probably on the decline (showing some signs of oxidation perhaps?). Ripe yellow apple, pineapple, dried mango, white pepper, honeyed things. Lots of flavor but lacks the acidity and umami characteristics of an aszú. — 4 days ago
While definitely not as concentrated as an aszu wine, still an exceptional desert wine. Delicious, crunchy stone fruits, high acidity cutting through the sugar. — 23 days ago
Nose has plum, ripe plum, (light) cedar, milk chocolate shavings and dried black cherry (Honestly, plum notes are incredibly dominant now.); This is a great aroma experience.
Palate has dried black cherry, ripe plum, dried garden soil, old dark chocolate bar, (minor) roasted green pepper with a short-ish finish. Really not improving with aging (Note to future self with a few bottles in the tank still...!).
Ok, so quite obvious here that I don't always review my notes. Last time (4Y ago) around I said drink all these by 2020... Yet still 5 (now 4) in waiting. (Drink up, or use for braising.)
Decanted 5H at the time of notes. — 16 days ago
Very nice Merlot. Less fruit forward just the way I like. Had this for Heather 36th Bday dinner at home. Great time with family. Was part of Scott's monthly wine club. — 3 months ago
