La Spinetta

Pin Monferrato Nebbiolo Barbera 2019

Ming L
9.1

The nose is vibrant and inviting, with bright red fruits woven with hints of baking spice, dried thyme, and a touch of bramble. The palate shows a darker, earthier profile than the fragrant bouquet suggests, yet the fruit remains intense and lively. Tannins are supple but persistent, lending a juicy, grippy texture that lingers.
Lovely Nebbiolo/Barbera blend.

Traboules Côteaux du Lyonnais Gamay 2015

This is such an aromatically pretty Gamay, with floral, redfruits and some faint violets as well, great balance, soft tannins, just a slight chalky note in the end palate that leads to a lovely, lingering finish, I guess this is what Gamay tastes like when made by an excellent Cote Rotie producer!! — 6 months ago

Picking it up at under $30 USD a btl. Unavailable locally so hadda undergo a quest/journey to pick up a decent amount. Quest/journey is about to start yet again...04.15.25. — 2 months ago

Château La Tour du Pin Figeac (Moueix)

St. Emilion Red Bordeaux Blend 1998

Truncated dinner party notes. Surprised this was still kicking as vigorously as it is. Yes, still red fruit, but with secondary and tertiary notes adding so much complexity. Delicious. — 20 days ago

Château Le Pin

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2006

Wow a treat! Color is a dark beautiful cranberry. On the nose: essence of dark fruit and sweet floral jump from the glass with primary notes of roasted meat, wet forest floral and subtle chocolate mint. Taste: silky smooth and luscious coating the palate with red fruit, cedar, earthy soil, crushed rock and minerals with a medium plus spice dark chocolate finish. Yummy for sure and wonderful way to start off the first Friday of the new year!! — 5 months ago
