The 2019 Pinot Noir Elliott is a deep, dense wine, but always within the context of the Ceritas Pinots. There’s real depth and gravitas here, tempered by a style that seeks finesse more than power. Small clusters and small berries on a site rich in blue schist and quartz yield a distinctive Pinot built on resonance and power. Clean mineral notes support the bracing finish. The 60% whole clusters are very nicely balanced. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, June 2022)

Light liquid yellow in the glass… explosive first sip. Acid, weight, bright lemon zest, brioche, tart key lime. Long, chewy, stemmy finish lasts at least 30 seconds. Wonderful mid-summer food wine that grows in gravitas and grip as it warms…nice foil to roast Alaskan halibut with heirloom tomato/ricotta topper. Not your average simple Italian white. — 9 months ago
An alluring and complete Cariad, menthol and loamy earth nose led liquid leather, sweet red fruit and fine tannins to a long, pervasive finish. Gravitas, Bordeaux vibe. With min decant this fell off a tad after 2 hrs suggesting (at least this bottle) time to drink up! — 2 years ago
The 2018 IX Estate is a wine of extraordinary depth and intensity. The aromatics along are positively dazzling. Crushed herbs, lavender, spice, menthol, chocolate, licorice and gravel lend tremendous power and gravitas. Just as impressive it was last year, the 2018 is positively riveting today. What a wine! Deep ruby. Dark sweet plum, salty and floral. The palate is med-full bodied, med acidity, soft-med tannin. There is a dark savoury element that gives the wine gravitas. Beautiful balance. Power without weight. Powerful and beautiful. — 7 months ago
Nice gold in the glass…medium mousse with deep, ripe red delicious apple and crunchy biscuit notes. Expands as it warms…and takes on gravitas and complexity. Scottish Salmon Pesto, creamy Greek salad, and fresh MI cream corn. I love July weekends just hanging, cooking, sipping champagne. Happy summer, Vinous! — 10 months ago
Medium gold and delightfully cloudy in the glass…Notes of lemongrass, yuzu, and pineapple on the nose but the tropical notes recede on the palate. Decidedly savory, herbal and round. Medium bodied, with weight and gravitas bolstered by definite acidity and a touch of oxidation that smooths out on swallow. Unusual… seductive….exhilarating walk on the Natural side. Fun…and that doesn’t happen often enough. — 2 years ago

There’s a purity and elegance to this wine that kept me going back. Everything’s light - bright red berry, sweet tannins and subtle Mediterranean tang - but the whole has weight and … well, gravitas, with a lengthy finish. Outstanding for me. Great food wine. — a month ago
