Another solid vintage of this 100% Corvina gem. Dark purple/ruby color. Aromas of ripe and cooked red fruit, burnt chocolate, cola and purple flowers. Flavors of cherry compote, red currants, cocoa powder, coffee and black pepper spice. Long and luxurious finish with some sweet oak overtones. Rich, dense, complex and plush. Tannins are so smooth. Easy drinker that can handle a chill. Not quite as outgoing as the stellar 2016 Vintage but still quite good. Thanks for bringing this one out at the New Year’s Day brunch, Keith S! — 2 months ago

A nice Albariño, grapes from the Contado do Tea subzone and the Salnes subzone, aged on lees for about 9 months, pale lemon with aromas of citrus and tropical fruits. On the palate pronounced flavors of melon and lemon with hints of toasty notes from lees aging. Long finish, vivid acidity, ending with fruit and smoky character. Will age well. — 6 months ago

one of the more impressive wines i've had from ARG - deep dark golden color, looked slightly oxidized, and a bouquet that vacillated from honeyed florals, to mineral, to exotic perfumed spice, musky, brooding, ripe citrus then orchard fruit - just so multi-layered & oh so engaging, the palate was a bit more focused - solid mid weight w/firm acidic backbone leading to lingering tangy salty finish. can't recall having a Chenin like this - felt like extended skin contact and long lees treatment. — 25 days ago
