K&L notes, The flagship wine from Gardine, the Gaston-Philippe is named for Gaston and Philippe Brunel. The wine is equal parts Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre aged in new barrique. Composed of the oldest vines from the estate, they range between 60-90+ years of age. A benchmark wine from a benchmark producer! — 2 months ago
Disgorged in May 2019, release is blend 40% Meunier, 35% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Noir with 20% reserve wines from 2013. Medium lemon with gold tints, aromas of stone and citrus fruits with notes of oven baked bread. On the palate flavors of peach and apricot with lemon zest and traces of floral notes. Fine lingering bubbles, long finish ending with fresh fruits wrapped in balanced acidity and biscuit character. — 2 months ago
