Smooth, buttery but not flat. Not too fruity. Would drink again — 3 years ago

Prior notes apply. We were lucky to get this wine by the case for $13. BDB says the city will reopen on Monday and the curfew will be over, I wonder if that plan will have any effect on police brutality, because I don’t think the protests will stop, nor should they. — 5 years ago
The 2019 Opus One shows off the more opulent side of the vintage to great effect. Sumptuous dark fruit, spice and floral accents wrap around the palate, with a fair amount of new oak adding volume and exotic flair. This is an especially showy Opus One that will drink well with minimal cellaring. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, December 2023)

A classic Sauvignon-Semillon blend. Bright straw gold. Abundant and inviting nose of orange rind and honey. Medium palate yields that same orange rind complemented by green apple, balsa wood, and stone. Firm, bracing acidity from entry to finish makes for a perfect Bordelaise dinner wine. Trout amandine is he natural pair, but any white flesh fish or baked fowl will pair well. Drink now through 2024 for best effect, but will drink well a bit longer. — 2 years ago
The first 10/10 cab I’ve ever drank. Very smooth but with all the depth of flavor expected from a cab. — 4 years ago
Pinotman /// Andreas
I rated this just a week ago or so. Upon opening this second bottle was the same as the first one. Limited character and fruit. After a week of air the wine mellowed out, turned soft and oxidized. Plum characteristics, lime, crushed marble. Plenty of tannins left. Yet still an overall lacking Grand Cru wow effect and after 12 years secondary flavors need to impress. It is simply not a great wine for what it is. — 8 days ago
