Traminer ganze Traube
Amber gold in colour and clearly with prolonged maceration.
Highly aromatic with red pepper, litchi, rose water, cardamon.
Quite a mouthful on the palate, rough around the edges, with quite a tannic grip But not lacking anything, great on the mid palate, singing, juicy acidity, with mandarines, quince and ripe red apples. Plus a mineral, herby, slightly bitter (yet attractive) edge.
This has depth, energy, zing! A true delight & wonderful discovery.

Certainly the most “serious” blaufrankish I’ve had, fitting for our first meal in Vienna. Deep cherry red in the glass. Aromatically quite giving with lots of red fruit. Medium plus body with a nice finish, though likely better with a bit of age. Nice wine! — 7 years ago

I really like this. Big games Brant chewy barnyard leather cassis chocolate. It’s got funk. I’d love it with more length but it’s different in style. I’ll buy a few of these for the cellar. — 6 years ago

Great Blaufrankisch. Bramble, dark cherries. What strikes me are the polished tannins so very well integrated with acidity, minerality and low alcohollevels. I think that the peak of this wine is somewhere between 2030 and 2035. — 5 hours ago
