Snowden

Brothers Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits, cigar box and cedar scents. On the palate flavors of black cherry, plum and currants with cacao, floral and oaky notes. Fine dusty tannins, long finish ending with fruit, floral, oak and earthy mineral character. Very Nice! Good now. — 9 days ago

Wine is Annabelle’s Block Pinot Noir from Klopp Ranch in Russian River Valley. Purchased wine at Donelan tasting organized by Ned and Beth on May 8, 2024. Tart black cherry, boysenberry and black currant fruit, with nice acidity, spice and chalky note.

Robert Foley Vineyards

Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Black label. Cool dragon. Smells are cassis and stems. Flavors are sharp and really complex. A clastic Cab with all the bells and whistles. Tannins are still there and they might mellow down. Big blackberry and black currants. — a month ago

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

2016 vintage. Last tasted 02.07.24 (9.4). Still medium-heavy body but the alcohol/flavors enduring a bit of angst currently. Hot alcohol hits front palate, then fruit, then 18-wheeler tannins. Tasting as if it fell apart and needs a magic wand to meld it all back together. Still, fairly impressive tasting the holy trinity simultaneously, yet separately, and with unexpected composure given the lack of quality pavement for this 1974 De Tomaso Pantera. 01.20.25. — 2 months ago

Krupp Brothers

Veraison Stagecoach Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Super tannic and long finish. Dark color, so much oak it has to be decanted — 5 months ago
