2019 vintage. High, airy/perfumed nose of dill and white sage with a dollop of tar and charcuterie board. Medium-heavy body. Delicious riptide of bramble fruit and leather flavors that carry on and a balsamic/Fernet Branca note along with a lavender finish. Big-*ss tannins for a Côtes-du Rhône. Black olive lording over the proceedings Sauron-style from the moment the cork was pulled. White pepper wants to emerge on the tip of the tongue but not just yet. Soon…soon. Silly to find myself giving a "simple" Côtes-du Rhône a 9.3 but found it compelling enuff to seriously consider a 9.4. Didn't think it possible. — 5 years ago

Also had this at Boston’s Bubble Bath along with other well selected wines. Unlike any other Barbera ever tasted. From Emilia Romagna. Herbal snd chalky, with intense aromas reminiscent of Fernet Branca?! Concentrated but cooling red fruits. Unique, intriguing, one of rose oh my god wines keep surprising me moments. Great with a Bolognese from around the corner. — 2 years ago

Trying to describe Amaro in words is hard. This is something between a Nonino and a Fernet Branca. — 9 years ago

Loved this red when I first started drinking red — 3 years ago
This is the Vinho Verde ( not the red) a lovely white wine. Not as citrusy as a Sauvignon blanc, crisp, clean, no alcohol bite. Very smooth. I give it a 9. — 4 years ago
Not as in interesting as the Dry No1 — 5 years ago
