Wow value. Black raspberry. Tar, dark chocolate. Late mint finish. Perfect tannins. Good finish. — a year ago
Perhaps, this is one of the most approachable vintages (2016) for this wine. A very clean, an uplifting red, it also has an enticing ruby color transitioning to maroon. Amps up on the nose with a solid complexity and elegancy. Since this is Grand Reserva, it spends a minimum of 24 months on American and French oak. I can be fruity and with some spicy notes. On the palate, it’s elegant, hints of vanilla and sweet toasted. Elongated and silky finish. Already cruising its peak time. Drink now! — 8 days ago
Medium ruby in color; cherries, cedar, and dried figs on the nose; high acidity; medium tannins; tastes like tart cherries, strawberry sauce, dried leaves, and wet gravel with a long finish. — 2 months ago
Medium ruby in color; cherries, tabacco, and dried figs on the nose; medium acidity; medium tannins; tastes like sour cherries, black pepper, and dried flowers with a long finish. — 7 months ago
Another solid vintage of this entry level Rioja. Blend of Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo. Dark ruby color with purple highlights. Aromas and flavors of black berry/plum/raspberry fruit, leather, cedar, tobacco, baking spices and vanilla. Touch of toasty oak on the long and savory finish. Nicely structured and elegant. Fresh acidity. Appreciate the taste, Chris B! — 2 months ago
