I’ve never tasted a Rioja Gran Reserva like this one. It’s flavours are fluid in a way that makes it an easy drinking, quaffable wine.

Very well done and elegant, ready to drink but no rush, a wine that punches well above its weight. Recommended.

I like this better than the CVNE Imperial line. This seems not quite as heavily oaked. Good balance of fruit and oak (2014 vintage). Not quite as good as Faustino I Gran Reserva (2009).
