#Viura or #Macabeo as it’s called in most parts of #Spain is a challenging grape to create excellent wine with. A lively and playful rioja. The nos shows black currant, black cherries, tar, oak, cedar, cocoa... this is serious yet juicy. The palate is super well balanced. Good acid drive, silky, almost milky mouthfeel, black currant and black berry notes all along, good width, a bit of matter on the sides, a good grip in the rear with some nice tannic structure, powering a nice, silky, milky, slightly drying finish with blackberry and currant notes all along and some bitter notes that come up in the very end.
