Nose has delicate maraschino cherry, fresh green herbs (sage), dry soil and faint vanilla.
Palate has dusty cherry/raspberry, (light) dried orange peel, watermelon rind with some drying mineral notes to the long finish.
Years of patience have served this bottle well. Still youthful and lively, but more expressive than our last experience. One bottle remaining in the cellar... I'll see how long we can manage to overlook it, but nothing more fine than Cabernet Franc rosé! — 3 months ago
Light bright raspberry and delicious — 22 days ago
2010 vintage with plum, black currants, green olive, eucalyptus mint black cherry. Delicious!! — 2 months ago
Good, but a little too light for me. Doesn’t taste like a cab. — 8 months ago
Grapefruit, lemon, tart apple, hay and ripe peach. Vibrant acidity and great minerality. — 2 months ago
Fruit forward, high alcohol content, intense floral nose. Still strong after 12 years. Dark fruit, herbal (juniper), currants, and woody. — 3 months ago
2014. Same wine as we had at Sonoma Mission Inn. But not the same at all. Bottle variance is baffling. Bottle we had at Sonoma Mission Inn was a 96. Distinctive, lean, chewy. I his one is muddled in comparison. Wouldn’t buy this again. $50. — a year ago
