Selfridges - old oak barrel no flavor from barrel allow microoxidation empower it to biscuity broiche like / rich flavor / chardonay + pinot noir. Soak not long enough for color to come thru but get flavor / secondary fermentation with cock / 7 years fermantation for vintage / not too dry / oaky / pair well with sth greasy eg fish and chips, nuggets — 9 months ago

another recent South African wine that i really enjoyed: blend of CF, CS & Pinotage: had serious funk for first few hours, some blew off but it remained quite earthy, herbaceous, but lurking beneath was beautiful red & black fruit, cassis, iron & graphite, minerality, cocoa & vanillin notes - really sexy stuff. med + bodied, w/finely grained tannins and finesse. some pedigree here and really in the pocket. not afraid to express its personality & terroir — 3 days ago
