Rosé de Robles Syrah Blend 2018

This is a very enjoyable Rosé from Paso Robles.

Easy drinking and gentle. Showing raspberries, citrus, cherries, limes, earth, light vegetables and spices.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing.

Nice and refreshing. Good by itself or with food.

I paired it with a gorgeous sunset. I had it before, and I really liked it this time.

A blend of 50% Grenache and 50% Syrah.

13% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

Les Pruliers Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2011

Found this to be drinking quite well, tannins were integrating nicely, distinctive tertiary character has taken form, and the wine carried a gracefulness without loosing any rustic charm. Dried brambly fruit, wet leaves, dried leather, sous bois, dried flowers, and almost this parched landscape quality, like high desert or chaparral sort of note. Very intriguing and brought lots of joy to a simple French meal. Procured in FR, not a KLWM import — 4 days ago

Reserve To-Kalon I Block Fumé Blanc 2000

WOW! Was given to me by Michael Mondavi in 2001 or 2002 during a Tampa market visit! Been relocated about 10 times, including oversees and back, yet at 19 years of age, this wine still drinks great! #mondavi #tokalon #oldwinerocks @DLynn Proctor @Robert Mondavi — 3 days ago

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

It’s time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a great one from Napa Valley.

Dark ruby in color with a short purple rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, black plums, black currants, sweet cherries, dried figs, cedar, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, mocha, coffee, coke, tobacco and black pepper.

Full-bodied and bold with medium acidity bold and long legs.

Dry on the palate, and very fruity, with blackberries, blueberries, figs, raisins, licorice, vanilla, leather, spices, graphite, light vegetables, alcohol, peppercorn, coffee, dark chocolates, coke and earth.

Long spicy finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a young Cabernet from Napa. Already drinking nicely with lost a fruits and mild complexity.

Showing a nice mouthfeel with solid structure. Spicy and bold.

Needs 90 minutes to open up properly and show the tannins.

Need years in the bottle to mature and get more complexity. Would be better in the next 5 to 15 years.

I had it all by itself, but a big piece of steak would be nice too. 😊

14.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

Had this twice in 1 week. Even better this time. So nice and not over the hill. Acid there, mature flavors but in a youthful manner. — 16 days ago

Les Hauts-Doix Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2013

Good fruit concentration but still manages to be light and elegant at the same time. Tannins were very well integrated. Awesome to see it evolve in the glass over a couple of hours. Paired very well with grilled pork. — 18 days ago
