Les Ecussaux Auxey-Duresses Premier Cru Pinot Noir 2021

Mid weight. Touch baking spices on the nose. Obviously super young. Bright red fruit mostly cranberry. Touch raspberry. Just a tiny hint of strawberry. Very little oak if any. Probably de-stemmed. Tasted at t=0 and t=16h’s. This will benefit from 4-5 years of aging. Nice but not brilliant and at 55$? — 2 months ago

Les Crots Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er cru Pinot Noir 2013

16.5/20 (90/100) Приятный аромат вишни, ежевики, ванили и ментола. Свежее, но при этом мягкое, без резкости во вкусе. Немного нахватает насыщенности во вкусе. Хорошо. — 4 years ago

Nice stuff from @Max Kogod Love the lean, high acid flavor profile and the 2014 vintage. — 5 years ago

Les Enseigneres Puligny Montrachet Chardonnay 2017

This was dramatically better the second day. Initially it wasn’t showing much. Lovely stone fruits, citrus, almonds, a hint of pineapple, but not in a bad way. Vibrant acidity. — 2 years ago

Les Enseignères Puligny-Montrachet Chardonnay 2017

Really good. Lemons, deft use of oak. A bit of vanilla. Very pleasurable. Enjoyed with grilled salmon, grilled corn, rice and Cole slaw. — 3 years ago

Grands Echezeaux Pinot Noir

2005. Drinking the big guns as I’m 50 on the 14th. I feel like James Halliday’s “im drinking this and you’re not”. It’s superb, the complexity is amazing. So youthful still, primary fruit, astounding structure and acid. But the nose, oh man. So seductive, deep and alluring. One of the best Burgs I’ve had in ages. — 4 years ago
