Clos de l'Amandier Fleurie Gamay 2022

A fuller more balanced style of Fleurie. Actually would consider this a perfect pairing for Thanksgiving day. Cheers. — 13 days ago

Indigene Fleurie Gamay 2021

Very drinkable but quite serious. Comes off as slightly underripe and at 11.5% clearly restrained. A lot of minerality and earth with some fruit. Good bit of structure. Appreciated it more than I enjoyed it overall - slightly overpriced for what it is. — 2 years ago

Lieubeau Cabernet Franc

Red fruit, earth, fresh herbs, a bit of green veg and a touch of brett. One of the most balanced cab francs I've ever had. — 5 years ago

Terre Meré Chardonnay 2018

Fruit forward, apple and pear accents, became more citrus-like when paired with a fennel salad. — 10 months ago

La Miette... Pinot Noir Blend

What a wine. Fun expressive and bright. Taste of raspberry lemon and sculpting clay. Had on Christmas Day with Beef Bourgogne but would be equally as good on a warm day with vegetables. — 4 years ago

Les Moriers Fleurie Gamay 2019

Generally enjoy Beaujolais from Hoppneot and this fits the bill. Certainly know the grape and region from the nose and fresh cherry on the palate. Good acid. Perhaps a smidge less complex than hoped. — 25 days ago

Morgon Corcelette Gamay 2018

Well, I almost drank the whole bottle it was so good. What a complex, delightfully bright wine. It masks how complicated it is by being a charm to drink, but starts off mildly funky, clay earthen, and full of ripe cherry. The mid is slightly tannic, becomes a darker stone fruit, a little ash, still clinging to dirt. Just a smidge. It’s all plum and tannic hugs on the way down, without the smackiness of a hefty grape. Leaves you salivating and wanting more. — 5 years ago
