Domaine Du Mas De Sainte Croix

Domaine du Mas de Sainte Croix

Mas de Sainte Croix Côtes du Rhône 2016

Very drinkable value wine. Grenache Syrah blend. Unsweet, slight bitterness from peels and stems blending nicely with tannins and juicy, but not overripe fruit. Deep cranberry purple color. 2016 vintage . I would buy this again to have on hand for dinner. Complements meaty, hearty food. — 2 months ago

Château La Rame

Sainte-Croix-du-Mont Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 2015

This rich, golden, sweet wine smells like honey and dried apricots. There's a layer of earthy minerals, a chalkiness, that beautifully counterpoints the sweetness. On the palate, a viscous mouthfeel carries marmalade-like fruit flavors along on a subtle wave of acidity. This is dessert on its own, but why limit such a wonderful wine? Have it with hard cheese, almonds or a lobster roll. — 8 months ago

Château Bertrand

Sainte Croix du Mont Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 1999

Château Bertrand / Sainte Croix du Mont 1999

Brioche, apricot, honey on the nose. Typical bothrytis nose. The palate is made of a very strong acid backbone some apricot and honey touches all along, some nice acid and fresh finish that lasts for ever. This is very good and as good as any average good sauternes out there. 21 years old and banging!
