Domaine De La Roche Lambert

Domaine Ponsot

Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Pinot Noir 1980

Beautiful sweet berry fruit. Rounded and intense with floral fragrance- violets, roses. Done spiciness at the edges, cinnamon. Done dark plum and garrigue… herbal notes. Soulful and delicious. — 15 days ago

Domaine Hubert Lignier

Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Pinot Noir 1999

Maybe I’m not objective because of such fond memories of smelling this in the tank and tasting its two predecessors en barrique with Hubert on our honeymoon. But I can’t imagine this being any better than it was last night on our 25th anniversary. — 2 months ago

Clos de la Bergerie Savennières Roche aux Moines Chenin Blanc 2016

Outstanding, showing primary and tertiary 50/50, lovely yellow and white fruits, salinity, some oxygen taking hold, florals, lanolin, and excellent acidity drives this into a long, complex finish. — 5 months ago

Château Féret-Lambert

Red Bordeaux Blend 2020

Enjoyed this one with a classic French meal of steak and béarnaise with roasted carrots and dauphinois potatoes. Hints of oak and cherry and red currants. Lots of merlot keeps it soft and supple. One guys comment was “tart cherries peel through the windows in the rain-slicked cobblestone alley.” Quite poetic and really accurate. There is a wet stone quality to this wine that appeals to me. Enjoyed and would drink again. — 4 months ago
