love! thatchers $33 — a year ago
The nose alone is worth the price of admission. A vibrant perfumed red fruited nose. My palate was treated to waves of cinnamon , cherries and earth. Wonderful balancing acid. The grapes are from a plot in Flagey - Echezeaux. Carbonic maceration and 7 months in tank. Great match with brisket in a mushroom sauce. I love a Pinot noir and this one hit the spot. Light body, balanced fruit and light tannin. — 6 months ago
A powerful wine driven by Grenache grapes at a high elevation viticulture (over 1,200ft) by the Northwest exposure of Gigondas AOC a true name to its bottom label tag (Terror d’Exception) The Varietal composition; 90% Grenache noir, 10% Syrah.
This vigneron still does a manual selection of the ripest bunches followed by intense wine-making methods (fermenting during 1 month, while the grape skins are regularly soaked by the fermenting juice). Aging in French Oak for +24 months and the wine is cellared for 1 year in the bottle before its release.
V.2021 in this region was challenging enough, and this wine packs a high ABV at 15%, it bursts with fragrant licorice, blackberry and raspberry jam on the nose. The palate gets hit with chewing tannins, need to breath for 1 hours min as it has solid flavor concentration, very peppery, minty and quite complex. Definitely pivots more into a full-bodied, yet juicy style with a plausible and lingering finish.
A perfect companion for powerful dishes as beef stew, aged cheeses and cured hams. Cheers! — a year ago
Un bon chardonnay de climat frais, avec une bonne acidité (citron confit), mais une finale ronde qui perdure — 5 years ago
one of the best chardonnay’s i’ve had. not too buttery or oaky. great balance. definite repeatable. — 8 months ago
Field blend of somewhat 14 varieties. 11% ABV. Lucid ruby. Aromatic summer strawberries, cherries, violets. Subtle smokiness. Salinity in the aftertaste entices to take big thirsty gulps. Very reminiscent of the Jura’s (l'Aigle a Deux Tetes) Trousseau. Ideal summer wine! — 2 years ago

Blend of #Grenachegris and #grenacheblanc and #Macabeu.
Alluvial Rolled clay pebbles for the Macabeu.
Shale (schist) lands for Grenache.
Fermentation of musts in demi muids (500 l), aging on lees. Racking of wines and bottling without fining (a little reduction on the nose) #languedoc #languedocroussillon #roussillon — 6 years ago

A bit softer and rounded than expected. Good complexity. Paired very nicely with Caesar salad — 2 months ago
