No formal notes. Enjoyed at lunch with a client. One of the finest wines I’ve ever had. DRC like.
@Delectable Wine this the the “Cuvee H” and also “Vieilles Vignes.” Thank you. — 6 years ago
Huge purple fruits. Amazing blueberries as well and so much wild mint and an indescribable sweetness. Tree bark, cinnamon and other spices. Gamey with super complex herbs and just unreal depth. The wild mint on the nose is profound. Super profound. A 9.8 nose. Sickness. Just what one wants. Palate is so fresh. Beguilingly fresh and has lovely blackberry sweetness and that whole cluster adds complexity but also masks some of the lush ripe fruit now. Long finish and also closed to begin. Terrific fruit when one is swishing and the elegance starts to show but the tannins are grippy and show whole cluster character which adds complexity now but takes away fruit character now but the fruit will come in the future. Great concentration and depth. This is obviously great and not subtle like Sozet or Fauterie. But this also has a clipped finish. I think 2 hours in a decanter will cure what ails this the length is there. — 3 years ago
Just incredible. Needs 5 mins for sulfur to blow off. Then massive blueberry, granite, clay and so so mineral. The most mineral St. Joseph of them all. Floral. But so much clay and mineral. So unique. Nothing like Fauterie. Complex, fresh and so mineral. Like the energy on this wine is beyond ridiculous. Stunning depth and purity. Ripe and juicy tannins and this is like 80% mineral and 20% fruit. What a wine. Finish is forever and has hints of white pepper and lingering blue fruits. — 5 years ago
