First time with WS in a while. Almost a pogeba. Really liking it so far. Lemon curd, acidity and tension. Excited to try the same in a few years. — 6 days ago

One of my favorite CdP producers. I opened this alongside a buddy’s 2009 CSJ Deus Ex Machina and it was really intriguing to see the differences.
60 Grenache/20 Syrah/remainder a blend.
Quick bottle decant before diving in. While ready to go, an hour full-decant would probably be a good call at this stage, but not required. Where the Ex Machina was more high toned and layered (thanks to the blend), this was more up-front and plush. Violets and spiced berry compote aromatically. Dark berry fruit, sweet pipe tobacco and fig dominate the palate. Extremely concentrated (not extracted), with a savory graphite profile at the finish. Would have sworn Mourvèdre was heavy in this. Star of a two Bandol night, but this at age 14( minus a week or two). Deeper, plush, black violet & cassis nose; on palate tannins really nicely integrated, wild blackberries, more cassis & black currants. Crazy elegant and generous. Feels open. Distant notes of some kind of bark & forest floor. Older wild flowers.Eye opener, in sense of how far Bandol can go for me. — 4 months ago

Blend of Grenache (50%), Syrah (30%) and Mourvèdre (20%). Bright ruby color with purple highlights. Aromas of ripe black berry/currant with hints of vanilla, asphalt and lavender. Ripe blackberry, black currant and blueberry lead the palate with notes of toasted spices, black licorice and roasted herbs. Long and fruit forward finish. Plump and well structured. — 16 days ago
