White flower garden, unripe melon, bit of funk. Opened up over time. Interesting. — 3 years ago

Affordable bubbly! Dry but fruity. Got at the huge liquor store! — 7 years ago
Brassy gold color. Classic Alsace nose has petrol-like notes, crushed stone, and golden delicious apple fruit. Smells fresher than the color suggests. Bone dry, with intense crushed stone minerally flavors, bright fruit underneath, and swept along by crisp, mouthwatering acids. Could certainly go a few more years. Nicely done! — a year ago
This is the second wine I’ve had from this Alsace domain and the second wine where the purity and freshness are almost profound. Gorgeously pure nose has ripe appley Pinot Blanc fruit, accentuated by light spice notes, straw, and moist gravelly earth. Intense but very soft and friendly fruit in the mouth. Again, superb purity (apparently the domain farms biodynamically). Decent acids and a fresh finish that has a little herbal thing. Not complex — it is Pinot Blanc, after all — but very satisfying for a weekday white. — 3 years ago
Enjoyed the complexity of this wine. Orchard fruit, green apple, peach, apricot along with notes of honey and burnt brown sugar. And typical great Riesling acidity. — 5 years ago
Grown on various parcels, mainly in the gypsum soils, the 2020 Riesling Schoenenbourg Grand Cru was vinified in stainless steel. It has a peppery, earthy, herbal aspect that soon verges into ripe peach and dried lemon peel. The vivid acidity of the palate seems buffered by layers of chalk. All the precision and coolness of the soil is there, making the mouth water, enticing you to take another sip of this sleek, energetic wine. Bone-dry. F’ me this is great! Biodynamic too. Like a vintage champs, maybe more interesting from diff varieties. Heard from north Berkeley it’s Pinot Blanc. Why there is not more PB sparkling, I have no idea. Love. — a month ago
