This is the second wine I’ve had from this Alsace domain and the second wine where the purity and freshness are almost profound. Gorgeously pure nose has ripe appley Pinot Blanc fruit, accentuated by light spice notes, straw, and moist gravelly earth. Intense but very soft and friendly fruit in the mouth. Again, superb purity (apparently the domain farms biodynamically). Decent acids and a fresh finish that has a little herbal thing. Not complex — it is Pinot Blanc, after all — but very satisfying for a weekday white.
