The description:
A deep ruby-red hue with deep-purple highlights. A distinct touch of blackcurrant fills a rich and explosive nose. A soft palate showing sweetness. A touch of moka, chocolate, adds to the complexity. Well structured tannins enhance the body. Very well-balanced. For drinking now or can hold for 2 to 6.
The opinion:
I would add there is a liquorice note. This is a big wine and needs a big flavoured food dish with it. — a month ago
The description: Garnet red colour with sparkling cherry highlights. The nose is expressive, complex with dominant notes of red fruit that grows to the mouth. The palate is smooth, round with a good freshness. Supported by fine tannins and a velvety mouth with a lot of persistence and volume. A successful wine to enjoy without waiting.
The opinion: I find this wine consistently drinkable and a great reflection of the rhone region. I forgot to rate the 2021 vintage but the 2022 is lighter and fresher, mainly as a bit younger. Still a great wine. Enjoy. Looks to remain on my regular drinking list. — 4 months ago
Vintage 2020 | My heart skips a beat like when I find a wine from a curious grape. Domaine Alary is situated in Cairanne and today I had the pleasure to meet Jean Etienne Alary. He makes this cuvée from the grape Counoise. It is very light (you could easily fool me and make me believe it is pinot or nebbiolo) and has a good structure. A pure pleasurewine. — 2 years ago
