Purchased at the winery during visit in 2015. Wine is classified as Federspiel (between 11.5 and 12.5 ABV), which generally connotes wines that are dry, medium bodied and well balanced. This Gruner is from the Kollmitz vineyard (steep terraced slopes with Danube gravel soil) and is bottled at 12.0% ABV. Pepper and flint on the nose. Green apple and pear fruit, white pepper and smoke, with minerality which shines through. Nice acidity. — 4 months ago
Strong aroma of petrol and a hint of citrus in the nose. Zippy first sip, acidity up front, then smooth and very peachy. — 21 days ago

So rich. Yet subtle. Demands loads o air yet holds so much fruit. N mineral. Like fat wool developing into petrol but still subtle. Lime n a little tropix but just collected. — 2 months ago
Fresh and vibrant. Crisp lemon. Wet straw. Goes down quick, be careful! Excellent for the price. — 3 months ago
Pale-yellow color. Pink grapefruit, a lot of petrol notes, pear. Medium-bodied, crispy acidity, a little oily, green apple and pink grapefruit as well. Pairing for grilled mushrooms, vegetables and pork. — 5 months ago
