Nose of red fruits (strawberries, cherries), Provençal herbs, sometimes mint and sage. Taste flavors of black/red cherries and berries, with baking spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), mint, and gentle oak. Fascinating to revisit this wine - still showing beautifully w/very consistent profile from previous occasions... so much time left on this. For those unfamiliar w/Fred Scherrer - he started at Dehlinger and then struck out on his own. He’s a UCD guy (my Alma Mater)...
