Beautiful mouthfeel, so smooth and creamy and very different. An Assyrtiko for richer and fattier dishes including steak or lamb. — 2 months ago
Classic Bordeaux-style blend of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. It has deep ruby-purple hues. The aroma profile is remarkably complex, offering notes of toffee, vanilla bean, chocolate-covered blueberry and blackberry compote with suggestions of smoked meat and fruit preserve. A bold entry delivers supple flavors of raspberry, pomegranate, sage, cocoa and black cherry. Bright tannins bring the wine to a beautifully balanced conclusion. 65% Petit Verdot, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Malbec. — 2 hours ago
Great nose of spice dark red cherries, some plum and a meatiness. Decaying. leaves and huge minerals. Expansive. Palate has that extraordinary Rebourgeon fruit wrapped in silk. Gorgeous finesse here. Long and juicy. Black and red cherries galore. So well made. — 2 months ago
Revisiting the 2016 Umino from Chasseur. It is still going strong with vibrant red fruit, earthiness, nice acidity. I will miss these when they are gone (final vintage from Chasseur) — a month ago
Pride Mountain Vineyards Reserve Claret 2013, Sonoma County, California
It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday.
This is a delicious Merlot based Bordeaux blend from from Sonoma County.
Full bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, chocolates, black currants, black plums, black cherries, cedar, vanilla, light earth, licorice and light coffee.
Long finish with medium tannins.
This 10-year-old is drinking very nicely now, and it will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Would be nice to visit it again in 5 years.
Showing nice complexity with a great mouthfeel. Elegant and rich. Powerful and fruit forward.
Drinking very much like a Napa Cabernet.
Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime. Good by itself or with food.
A blend of 62% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot. 14% of the grapes are from Napa Valley. Aged in French oak barrels for 22 months. A small production of only 450 cases.
14.8% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

Last bottle. No formal notes. Wow. Just one of the best values I have ever had. Unreal density, purity and length. Saline and flowers. Just brilliant. — 10 days ago
