Curmudgeon

Curmudgeon

Bourbon Barrel Aged Red Blend

Basic blend with hints of oak....beautiful bottle, worth buying atleast once for that. Id buy it again for the taste as well but would continue to venture though barrel aged reds. — a month ago

Curmudgeon Old Ale

The swamp smoke rose from the bottleneck as a stew of sediment was revealed through the phone light. Tea biscuit and ginger snap with molasses, burnt caramel and peanut brittle are conjured in turn, with coffee cake loaded with walnut. The palate invites with a yielding smoothness and teetering, sweet fig and date, but behind it, tea tree oils, resinous paper, dark tobaccos half-smoked, copper coins, fruit cake, struck flint, burnt corn tortilla, charcoal dust, and a slow-smoldering engine smoke. He's a dirty old machine, but soft in the middle with nougat and an espresso-chocolate cream that borders on coconuts. After a drag through the scrub, we arrive in a grove of sweet fruits. Duplicitously integrated. #Founders #stout #barrelaged — 7 years ago

Bevan Cellars

Curmudgeon Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Nose is big bold cherries. Mid palate soft tannins and oak. Finish is incredibly smooth. — 4 years ago

Domaine Auguste Clape

Cornas Syrah 2001

Garnet, just beginning to brick at the edges. Smells like dried leaves and animal hide. Roasted plums, black cherries, maybe a bit of toffee, iron. A charming curmudgeon, taking its time to get where it’s going. — 6 years ago

Bevan Cellars

Curmudgeon Red Bordeaux Blend 2014

My first Curmudgeon, love the name so I grabbed one on allocation, great nose. Of course I should of held it longer, but can't go wrong with Bevan no matter when you open, — 7 years ago

Russell told me that his wines are meant to be drank young or aged. I would have popped it as well! Bravo!
