Wow! Golden color. A little acidic. Honeysuckle and peach on the nose. Medium alcohol. Medium full body. Sweet but not crazy sweet. — 16 days ago
To quote Miles: “Andrew Murray. Well okay.” Been a while since I’ve had one of Andrew’s wines, but I recall purchasing this at a Harvest Party a few years ago. Probably on the downslope just a bit, but this is still terrific. I always view the Roasted Slope as his homage to Guigal in my view, and it is a terrific wine. — 18 days ago
Classic Zin. The earth in St Helena has a lot going on and Chase delivers it nicely. Delicious dry farmed Zin classic flavors. Low key, smaller cellar if you prefer and I do. Nice people, nice view, nice wines. — 25 days ago
2016. Nice flavors of dark fruits like black currants and blackberries. Relatively firm taste, so moderate or lower tannins, which is to my taste. — 14 days ago
Classic example of wine tastes better when you are enjoying the view of the vineyard, the story being told by the winemaker. We purchased this wine in Italy and schlepped back home only to find the merlot to be mediocre a year later. This wine is supposed to the the pinnacle of Radikon empire (made by father of current winemaker Sasha). — 22 days ago

@Delectable This is their Rosé from Cabernet. Please add.
When you arrive at AXR, they greet you with their Rosé. It’s pressed from 100% Cabernet.
The extraction is right at my preferred limit. The color here is slightly darker. The palate is round, rich with good viscosity. The fruit flavors are a little darker; black cherries, blackberries, strawberries, watermelon, orange citrus, really excellent mid minerality, red & pink & rose pedals, refreshing acidity and a smartly polished finish.
We enjoyed this 2019 quite a bit.
Photos of; their tasting room at the back of the property, the table they greet you & have you sign a Covid wavier, bottom to top view of their beautiful redwood trees and the wooded areas behind the tasting room building. — 24 days ago
