Fully mature at 14 years. Bright gold in colour. Honeyed nose with very little kero. Some sherry like characteristics indicating it might have been better a few years ago. Fascinating juice. — 10 years ago
Awesome nose of insane florals, minerals and just more florals. Like a Crabtree & Evelyn. Melon and citrus develop with air. Palate is at once crisp and linear but also opulent and exotic but it’s all precise and reigned in. Long mineral finish with structure to burn. Juicy and perfumed on the finish. — 2 years ago
Considering how stunning Frauenberg was in 2018 I was even excited to taste this and it did not let down. Stunning nose. Vinous Crabtree and Evelyn. Floral, herbal, lavender, gorgeous. Honeysuckle. Lean and limey as well. Hint of vulcanized rubber I love so much. Apricot, peach skin. So insanely complex. A GG like nose. Complex and concentrated with terrific fruit skin purity and almost a like fruit leather. So mineral and precise and just teeming with energy and a playful, focused yet intense juiciness. The finish is a mile long and gives off citrus and minerals. Amazing texture and so well made. Balanced and super pure with the structure to age for 10+ years. As this airs it picks up a white chocolate, caramel hit in the mid palate which is to die for. — 6 years ago
Nascetta is lovely niche grape of the Langhe. I adore it. Nose is lavender, very floral, like a Crabtree and Evelyn store. Some apple, pear and fantastic spice. Super aromatic. Sweet Meyer lemon and sweet citrus as well. Palate is terrific fruit, lemon, lime, grapefruit, intense rocky mineralIty that reminds me of Germany and terrific depth. Great structure and very dry. Great mouthfeel and superbly mineral. Like really really mineral. Some citrus pith. But while being mineral it has a great mouthfeel. Super juicy and racy. Love this. — 5 years ago
I bought this from Robert Crabtree in 1989. We had a great visit and this wine is showing beautifully today! Well done. — 7 years ago
A bit sour & flat but at 21 years still holding together - past its prime — 10 years ago

What a nose. One of my favorite sites and also one of the rarest in Pommard. Nose is red licorice, mid season cherries, watermelon jolly rancher, some citrus lift (blood orange, tangerine) and gorgeous stones. But also a Crabtree & Evelyn thing going on. Really beautiful. 9.7 nose. I am very impressed. Ok, this is stunning. It’s masterfully elegant and my god this is a mineral bomb. There’s glorious fruit but this is so mineral forward that it’s just insane. My god I love fucking Burgundy. Those Pommard late breaking tannins are just insane. What class. The nose is spellbinding. Unreal density and concentration and insane sap, purity and depth. The licorice also echoes on the palate. Wow. Genius. OK this wine is a problem. What a freakishly insane nose. The confectionary aromas are just insane. It’s just so complete. Superb freshness and energy. This true genius. Let’s see how it airs if I don’t drink it all. It’s such a Lyle wine. My god! Day 2 this is killing it. It’s maybe the most mineral wine I have ever had from William. It’s so elegant and just amazing. I truly love this site and am so happy I can offer it. — 2 months ago
