Gooseberry, lemon, and white peach, with mineral and floral notes. Light and pleasant. — 3 months ago
The 4th wine in the degustation with Byron and Paulina. A 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay from the Loire Valley of all places. A great wine to serve blind to MW and MS students. I recall strawberry and red berry notes in general with quite fluid tannins. So easy to drink. I can’t recall the matching dish but it was a perfect match - duck was involved. — 2 months ago
Coteaux du Giennois red vines planted on limestone soils of Pougny and Saint Père, small villages in the heart of the Centre-Loire. Blend of 85% Pinot Noir and 15% Gamay, from 30 years old vines, aged for about 12 months in oak. Ruby red color with aromas of red fruits, floral and spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and plum with notes of cacao and spice. Fine drying tannins, medium savory finish, ending with fruit, spice and slight earthy notes. — 7 months ago
