Really stellar. Decanted for an hour and a half. Sandalwood and spice on the nose. Nice smooth mouthfeel with beautifully complex flavors of cherry, sandalwood, and some nice fall spices and woodsy herbs coming through on the palette. After some time in the glass, additional hints of crushed roses started to peep through. Just absolutely lovely now and went so well with braised short ribs, parmesan polenta, and wild mushrooms. The tannins are still bringing some astringency through into the finish though. I can see this being spectacular down the road once the tannins smooth out more, but this is at a good place right now. — 24 days ago
Ruby with a rich bouquet of fruit, spices and floral notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with notes of pepper, cinnamon and floral. Long finish, nice balance with fine soft tannins ending with earthy notes. Enjoyable now, a few more years will benefit. The ‘21 is a real insight for what the Riservas will taste like. 20251117 Torre Antico Barbaresco with Wakano
A very nice, smooth, full body wine from the area near Neive.
Elegant, some rhubarb with taste of chocolate and leather.
Superb!

Absolutely excellent. Aromatics actually faded a bit with a 1.5 hour decant, so might watch that in the future. Lots of earthy cherry. Not overly refined, but in a good way - tastes like the older school piemonte that it is, with just the right bit of earth and leather. Excellent acid and a long pure finish. Great pairing with Kinderhook pork chops with a porchetta style seasoning. — 9 days ago
